Dr. Sujata Sharma - Practicing clinical psychologist
Dr. Sujata Sharma is a practicing clinical psychologist. She had been the Consultant Neuropsychologist to the Indo-U.S. Cross-National Study on Dementia Epidemiology (under the aegis of National Institute of Aging, U.S.A.), and Consultant to UNICEF and NIPCCD working on Training Module on ‘Counselling Services for Child Survivors of Trafficking’. She has been weekly guest columnist of a national newspaper Hindustan Times (H.T. City) for about three years in the columns ‘Behaviour’ (Mental Health) and ‘Relationships’. She has also been a part of the production team of a series on Mental Health – MINDWATCH for Doordarshan. 
She has co-authored two books on Stress and conducted Stress Management Programs and Workshops on Substance Abuse and Positive Parenting for many organizations and schools. She also conducts workshops on Counselling skills and techniques for trainees at NIPCCD, NCERT and NISD. Dr. Sujata D. Sharma is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and uses hypnotherapy in regular clinical practice.
 
 
DIABETES
Dr. V. Mohan - Diabetologist
Dr. V. Mohan is Chairman and Chief Diabetologist of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre, a chain of diabetes hospitals in India and President of the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation, Chennai, the largest research foundation for diabetes in Asia. He is also the a Steering Committee Member of the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke, Govt. of India. 
His main research interests are in Epidemiology of diabetes and its complications (particularly cardiovascular disease, Genomics of diabetes and Fibro - calculus Pancreatic Diabetes). His contributions have helped to place India on the world map of diabetes research.

For his original research contributions, Dr. Mohan has received 70 awards to date from various international and national organizations including the prestigious Dr. B.C. Roy National Award by the Medical Council of India, the Basanthi Devi Amirchand Prize from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the Wockhardt Medical Excellence Award from Harvard Medical International, Boston, U.S.A., in addition to Fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians of London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Welcome Trust, UK and the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation, Germany. Dr. Mohan has served as a Consultant and Technical Expert of several World Health Organization (WHO) and International Diabetes Federation (IDF) committees. Dr. Mohan also contributes extensively to charity and presently over 7,500 diabetic patients receive life long free treatment at his centre.
 
 
SMOKING & TOBACCO USE
Dr.Mira Aghi - Behavioural Scientist & Communication Expert
Dr. Mira B. Aghi is a Behavioural Scientist and a Communications Expert whose work has focused on intervention research and advocacy in India and internationally, including South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern and Southern Africa. She was the first woman from Asia to be awarded the WHO Gold Medal on Tobacco Control in 1989 and is a tireless advocate for tobacco control across various sectors including Parliamentarians.  
Dr. Aghi is a founding member of the Advocacy Forum for Tobacco Control (AFTC) and a life member of the Action-Council against Tobacco – India. She is on the board of the International Network of Women against Tobacco (INWAT), representing South Asia, and is also on the Board of Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco (SRNT), representing Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Latin America (AAOLA). Recently she has been appointed on the Board of Treatobacc.

PUBLIC HEALTH, HIV/AIDS, SEX & RELATIONSHIPS
Dr. Bir Singh - Public Health, HIV/AIDS ,Sex & Relationships Expert
Dr. Bir Singh is a physician and a well known public health specialist. Currently, he is working as a Professor at the prestigious All-India Institute of Medical Sciences,(AIIMS) New Delhi. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences as well as of Indian Association of PSM. Apart from contributing a lot of scientific papers in national and international health journals, he has been writing in English and Hindi on health topics for a number of years.  
He has written more than 27 books and booklets 9 many of them in Hindi) and more than 200 articles on health issues for general public in all major national newspapers and magazines. Thrice, he has been conferred National level Awards by the Govt. of India for his commendable work for health promotion for general public including writing books. He is also a regular on T.V. and Radio and has presented more than 350 programmes so far. Currently, he also heads the AIDS Education and Training Cell at AIIMS, Sex and Marriage Counseling Clinic; Health Promotion & Health Communication Unit as well as the National Service Scheme unit of AIIMS.

Dr. Bir Singh has many innovations in public health to his credit, e.g, starting a "pre-Marriage Training Course"young people--a first of its kind in India. He is also the Secretary General of Indian association of Preventive and Social Medicine ( IAPSM)—a national body of public health experts of India.
 
 
CHRONIC DISEASES PREVENTION
Dr. D. Prabhakaran - Chronic Diseases Prevention
Dr. D. Prabhakaran Executive Director of Initiative for Cardiovascular Health Research in the Developing Countries (IC Health) and Executive Director of Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) and adjunct Professor of Chronic Disease of Epidemiology at the Public Health Foundation of India. Until recently he was an Additional Professor of Cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.  
He has been involved in several major international and national research studies including the INTERHEART Study, the CREATE Trial, Indian Council of Medical Research study on Acute myocardial infarction, British Heart Foundation.

He has received research grants from the Welcome Trust, the NationaI Institute of Health and is a member of various national and international organizations like Scientific Council of the Section on Epidemiology and Prevention of the World Heart Federation, Cardiological Society of India, Association of Physicians of India, Indian Council of Medical Research’s Project Review Committee on Cardiology. He is on the review board and a member of several international bodies.
 
 
NUTRITION AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLES
Dr. Prema Ramachandran - Director Nutrition Foundation of India
Dr. Ishi Khosla - Health writer and columnist
Ishi Khosla is a practicing clinical nutritionist, a writer, columnist, researcher, author and an entrepreneur. She spearheaded, the first of its kind, a health food company ‘Whole Foods’, in the business of producing and retailing health foods and operating Health Cafés’.

Passionate about nutrition and a strong believer in the power of foods, she completed her Masters in Foods & Nutrition from Lady Irwin College, Delhi University.  
She started her career under the guidance of Lt. Dr. MMS Ahuja at the prestigious AIIMS Institute and later at Sita Ram Bhartiya Institute. Subsequently, Ms. Khosla was the Head of the Nutrition Department at the Department of Preventive Cardiology in Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, for several years, where she dealt with nutrition for cardiac patients, diabetes and obesity.

Since 2001, she has been actively involved in her own clinical practice at the Centre For Dietary Counseling in Delhi, where she deals with a wide range of nutrition related health problems. Ishi khosla has also been writing extensively and has authored a book, called –‘The Cholesterol Facts’. She has recently signed up with Penguin publishers for two books –‘The Wheat Free World’ and ‘Diet Matters’. Ms. Ishi Khosla has several columns and contributes articles in leading newspapers and magazines including Indian Express, Hindustan times, India Today and Prevention to name a few.

With 23 years of experience in this field, Ms. Khosla has been a Consultant and on the Board of numerous organizations and Multi-National Companies as also a Nutrition advisor to several schools & colleges in and around Delhi. She lectures extensively and conducts nutrition workshops across the country. As part of her commitment towards community nutrition and public health, Ms. Khosla founded ‘The Celiac Society For Delhi’, the first of its kind in India, in 2006 to spread awareness about Celiac Disease, a condition caused by wheat intolerance. She was recently listed among the 25 most powerful women in the Country by the India Today Group.
